Statements clarifying the alleged “idea stealer” controversy against the City Government of Marikina is now being circulated in the internet.

A certain Paul Edward Sison aired the side of the local government on the libelous claim of Ms. Marisse Miziel Mañalac for the Lilac Food Fest Controversy.

He stated that the idea to promote Lilac Street and its local entrepreneurs was conceived as early as 2014.

However, due to numerous reasons, said concept was not pushed through.

Being open to suggestions and as an act to involve various stakeholders in promoting Marikina and improving its services, the City Government welcomes to their offices several groups and organizations such as Ms. Mañalac’s.

The City Government also stands firm that they do not steal the idea as well as the presentation materials and collateral designs.
