In an interview with Abc-Cbn News, “Manuel”, not his real name, says that he pity the victims of this scam, and low salary is the main reason why employees are doing this modus.

He assert that colleagues put bullets in bags of travelers to extort money.

It is usually in the fingers of the screeners to be easily planted.

They target who looks rich, young or old and prefers Japanese over Koreans because they are easy to scare.

Though he says that there is no syndicate involve, only employees who have the courage to do so are the suspects of this scam.

Extorted money ranges from a thousand to even fifty thousand pesos and investigators get the biggest share.
