OMG! Marikina Government – Concept Stealer?

The City Government of Marikina is now facing a huge allegation of stealing a concept from an event organizer. This was posted in the social media account of a certain Marisse Miziel Mañalac.

According to her post, their group sought the assistance of the Marikina City Government in the implementation and information dissemination on their proposed project at Lilac Street, one of the blossoming food and art destination in the metro.

Entitled “Lilac Street: Food and Art Festival”, the project aims to assist local entrepreneurs and artists and also to promote Marikina. However, after the said concept was presented and revised as per the comments and suggestions of the local tourism office and City Administrator, the latter decided that the City Government will be the one executing the concept.

Mañalac then informed the city government of their stand on the said issue by saying that they should at least get paid for the concepts and production ideas.

However, based on Mañalac, the local government did not replied to this.

Allegedly being robbed of their ideas, she further appealed to the public to not to patronize the event.
